FC Oranje 4-1 Bonus Weeks Breaks

FC Oranje secured a vital 3 points last Saturday in their push for promotion.
After the disappointing defeat to Hermanos Jerez a week earlier FC Oranje were psyched up and ready to do battle with the only other foreign team in the league, Bonus Weeks Breaks. Coach Shawn Kinnear opted for a three man centre midfield partnership with Tilley, Manson and Monk taking the responsibility. In what was a fast and furious start to the game Bonus Weeks pressed hard and created the first goal of the game, FC Oranje keeper Andy Prins pulled off a fantastic save only for the ball to spill to the opposition and Pete Beckford made it 0-1 to the away team. Not willing to sit back FC Oranje pressed forward and were awarded a free-kick 25 yards out, John Manson made no mistake with a furious drive leaving the keeper with no chance. 1-1. On the 30 minute mark Dennis Van der beek played in Craig Tilley, Tilley chested the ball down and with a Mark Hughes style turn smashed the ball into the bottom corner. Fantastic finish from a player who was only passed fit half an hour before the game kicked off. Centre back Kris Taft, playing in his seventh consecutive game since his cruciate knee ligament damage, was partnered at the back by Danny Wilkinson and the two kept the Bonus Weeks strikers at bay making crucial challenges. The third FC Oranje goal came from Sipan Sinbad making a darting run past down the left hand side, played in by a great ball from Lucas Barker and Sinbad coolly finishing past the flailing keeper, 3-1.

Second Half
The second half started in the same fashion as the first, fast furious football was being played by both teams, Bonus Weeks not wanting to give up the game pressed forward a number of times but the FC Oranje defence was too strong, only having conceded 4 goals in the last 7 games they were unwilling to let in any more. Midway through the second half The Monk found time in his own area and spotted the Bonus Weeks keeper off his line and tried his luck smashing the crossbar. Lucas Barker also fancied his chances from his own half but the keeper scrambled his way back into his goal to save. With five minutes remaining Bonus Weeks managed to put the ball in the net, unfortunately at the wrong end to make 4-1.

Afgelopen zaterdag stond de Derby op de kalander tegen Bonus Weeks. Na de deceptie van de verliespartij va 0-1 tegen Hnos Jerez vorige week wilde FC Oranje deze wedstrijd winnen om zo nog aanspraak te kunnen maken de 3e plaatst die recht geeft op promotie.

 

De wedstrijd ging in eerste aanvang geheel naar Bonus Weeks en was het voor FC Oranje zoeken naar de juiste veld bezetting. Tijdens het zoeken wist Bonus Weeks de 0-1 binnen te schieten. FC Oranje liet zich hierdoor niet van de wijs brengen en zorgde er voor dat alle linies goed kwamen te staan. Lang kon Bonus Weeks niet genieten van hun voorsprong met een droog schot stond het al weer vlot gelijk, 1-1. Ondanks dat er een aantal basis spelers bij FC Oranje niet aanwezig waren hadden zij toch het betere van het spel. Goed combinatievoetbal zorgde er voor dat Bonus Weeks steeds meer onder druk kwam te staan waardoor er steeds meer overtredingen nodig waren om FC Oranje af te stoppen. Toch zou een vrij trap de voorsprong brengen, John trapte de vrijeschop vanaf 25 meter over de muur en via de onderkant lat in het doel, door het effect kwam de bal weer het doel uitzetten waarbij Rob Dekker de bal voor de zekerheid nogmaals het doel inkopte, 2-1.

 

Na de rust bleef FC Oranje de betere ploeg en kwam dan ook op een 3-1 voorsprong. Na de 3-1 zakte FC Oranje iets verder in waardoor er mogelijkheden kwamen voor Bonus Weeks maar zij wisten de kansen niet te benutten. Vlak voor tijd was er een speler van Bonus Weeks zo vriendelijk om bij een voorzet van FC Oranje de bal in eigen goal te koppen waardoor de eindstand op 4-1 kwam.
